Oberheim TEO-5 Presets: “Cranium” Sound Pack
“Cranium” is a sound pack for the TEO-5 synth. It includes 64 new Oberheim TEO-5 presets with a strong focus on electronic music such as Ambient, Electronica, Dub, and Melodic Techno. Many of the presets contain sequences and extensive modulations to add movement to the sound.
With a total of 19 pads, the soundset focuses on soundscapes. These include warm retro pads as well as morphing textures and strings. Additionally, there are numerous lead sounds ranging from atmospheric melodic techno leads in the Afterlife style and complex IDM-leads, to staccato-like psytrance plucks.
A versatile selection of bass sounds provides the necessary depth, including sub-basses, TB-303-like, or EBM lines. Nine driving dub chords, as well as a small selection of drone and FX sounds, round off the TEO-5 soundset.
Intensive Use of the Modulation Matrix
A highlight of the Oberheim TEO-5 is its flexible modulation matrix. The patches of the “Cranium” sound set make intensive use of this feature. LFOs, envelopes, etc., have been assigned to a multitude of parameters. Additionally, controllers like the mod wheel and aftertouch are an integral part of each preset.
“Cranium” includes 64 Oberheim TEO-5 presets for Ambient, Electronica, and Techno:
- Pad: 19
- Bass: 11
- Lead: 22
- Dub Chord: 9
- FX & Drone: 3

- PLEASE NOTE! The next step will replace any existing programs in those same memory locations on the synth so be sure to make a backup first.
